MathematicaLicensing is available for faculty, staff, and students. This site license covers both university-owned computers and personal computers.MATLAB
MATLAB is available to all UCSB faculty, staff, and students for use on their personal computers, as well as on university-owned computers. This is a site license negotiated by the Campus Office Of Software Licensing (COSL). Visitors and visiting researchers not employed by UCSB are not eligible for personal use but may use it on university-owned computers.Microsoft Office

Students have access to Office 365 at no additional charge.Faculty/Staff
Email sysadmin@math.ucsb.edu for assistance. Department-owned computers will usually have Office pre-installed, and Office 365 licenses can be requested for faculty.Overleaf
Anyone at UCSB with a free Overleaf account can have it linked to UCSB's instance for easier access. Research faculty engaged in collaborative projects are eligible for a no-cost upgrade to Overleaf Professional, handled on a case-by-case basis. More information.SPSS
COSL has negotiated a site license for SPSS on a year-to-year basis. This is available to faculty, staff, and employed grad students.
