This page indexes guides and resources for remote teaching and collaboration. Everyone in the math department is encouraged to contribute!

Videoconferencing

• The Zoom desktop client can share an iPad screen -- this is handy for writing notes with the Apple Pencil stylus, among other things.

• The department has the following hardware available for check-out, on a first-come, first-served basis:
  • iPads with Apple Pencils
  • Document cameras -- these can be shared in Zoom and used like a blackboard, by positioning paper or a small whiteboard underneath the camera.
  • Small whiteboards -- for use with the document cameras.
  • Laptops
  • Portable projectors -- limited availability, please reserve in advance if possible.
    • Note: most classrooms already have projectors or TVs built in.
  • Display adapters for common laptop video connectors.
